On another note, Dach was named to Team Canada for the CIBC Canada vs. Russia Series that will take place on November 13 and 14 – which coincidentally takes place in Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Will Dach be there to participate? Or will he be a full-time skater for the Blackhawks?
Why do I get the feeling that there is a clause that will allow the Hawks to "loan" Dach for this tourney.
Another couple of competitive games in for him without eating into his 9 game trial. |

Nice write up , agree with everything you wrote about the Hawks. My observations on the Edmonton game were the same that you had. Nice seeing the Hawks throw some hits . Saad was a beast if he can keep that up the Hawks are gonna have a outstanding third line.
Have to keep it going with teams like Edmonton and Vancouver playing well playoffs are gonna be even harder to make then I thought they would be. |

Great write up...
While I'm liking the hit-fest the current group is playing, I'm not going to stop banging the drum of protecting your goalie which this group still does NOT do.
Any and all players who come into the blue paint need to feel it. Call me old school, well so be it.

Great write-up Ty!
I'd like to see Sikura get another shot with the big club, the kid deserves it, he's an NHLer for sure. |

No he isn’t...
Yes he is...
- my summary of the next five pages.
Just picked up tix to the Hogs/Wolves game on Saturday - looking forward to seeing Dach and the defensive prospects in action. |

Just don't see Dach sticking this year. Think the 3rd line looks pretty set. The Hawks are not going to burn the first year of his contract having him skate on the 4th line. Unless the Hawks have him play the wing on one of the top 2 lines, it sure seems to me Dach is destined to return to Saskatoon!! |

For those in the Chicagoland area, both the Friday and Saturday Hogs/Wolves games will be broadcast on WPWR channel 50 at 7 p.m. Friday's game coincides with the Hawks game , but can be DVRed for later viewing. Good opportunity to see Dach, Boqvist, Beaudin etc. |

After the concussion he had in Traverse City - I thought that his chance in the NHL this season was over. But seeing how the Hawks are using every opportunity to extend his stay up with the big club - I’m thinking now there’s better chance he stays up then goes back down to the juniors. |

They can't "loan" Dach for this as its just a 2 game series against Russia's "top" Jr players. |

Anyone else surprised about the poor performance of both Kakko and Hughes?
So much hype and now so much disappointment... |

Lets be clear about what worked:
1. Crow being dialed in and not allowing any junk goals
2. The third line eating up Edmonton's first (which was great to watch and reminiscent of the Bolland, Havlat, Ladd line only faster)
The Hawks are the only team McDavid hasn't run rampant on this year and a lot of that has to do with the lads on the third line and JC deciding he was going to coach and match lines in a strategic fashion.
Keith also looked like he wanted to play that game which is always helpful. Maybe keep him with Murphy.
Anyway, the Jackets are one of those teams you'd think they should beat but they do have a fair amount of talent and a good enough top 4 on the blue line.
Someone (not me) should track how many draws Toews doesn't take when on the ice. There were a few he deferred to someone else the last game when he didn't get tossed. Haven't seen that unless he was carrying some kind of injury. |

They are less than 10 games into their careers at the age of 18, they are going to be fine. In 1989-90, Jeremy Roenick had 10 points in his first 28 games. He ended that that year with 56 points in his last 52 games, as a 19 year old. |

The problem with drafting 18 year olds. Move the draft up to 19 and it will benefit everyone. Could clear up the AHL rule were younger players can't go and gives Jr teams a guarentee of having the 19 year olds in the line up. |

It just shows Stan's continued incompetence as he failed with yet another trade. |

If Kakko and Hughes are this bad can you imagine how bad Dach will be. |
